This is really good, i loved the rhythms and progression. The violin was very emotional an the drums were really bangin' loved it! If this is currently in the contest I wish you the best of luck mate. Def some top level stuff here!

Edit: @Crispybatteryacid can't wait to hear it! you certainly have an ear for music and yes it's certainly enjoyable and we can always do better. That's the beauty of being an artist and always trying to one up yourself.

crispybatteryacid responds:

That means a lot, man! I rushed it a ton and it I think I could do better, but it’s nice to hear that others are enjoying it. I’ll definitely submit another track though.

Thank you for stopping by!

Pretty good, great key the melody was intriguing and the over all dub play was alright. Didn't have any build up and feels like a rough draft for a song that could really make me want to throw mosh fists.

The melody is catchy and simple and the rhythm is bouncy. Didn't care much for the sizzling audio cut off and even then it feels like a missed opportunity to really get creative in how you throw the beat back down as it comes back too quick.

Overall it's worth a listen.

there's no music and what can be heard sounds like a rusty windmill being blown far off in the distance and if the actual audio is in another site. i don't click links. too risky.

Scrullis responds:

Try turning it up and listen

Pretty good. Seems really well thought out.

about the improve thing. use your imagination creativity. make a sound on a song that feels right close to your soul with harmony. overall just have fun i think your music is perfect the way it is. :]

Sounds pretty good has a real lo-fi feel to it. I love that it has some creative bits where it changes things up a bit. There are some places in the melody where the tension is too high and a note really wants to return home, but you refuse and you just never seem to resolve it.

but none the less its fantastic work. You're far better than I am. If you have any advice to give feel free to check out my latest at

There's a lot to like here. The drums go hard, it's heavy, and it's bouncy. The main problem is the over use of repetition. I know, I'm guilty of this myself, but when you have the same melodic pattern playing over and over again for a minute and a half and it doesnt go anywhere it gets really boring. Like, at 1:23 you change to just some high hat play and it sounds amazing because for the last two minutes I listened to the same 5 second loop over and over again melodic wise but then you hit a really strange dissonant chord immediately after that completely ruins the feel.

My advice would be to make a melodic pattern using only whole notes per bar in the lower ranges. Then in the mid ranges form two to three note chords based off your base note. for example if you drop down a C and follow the Cmajor scale onward ... you have the potential for A C and F chords and all their variants just off of the first note. Then you add rhythm and then on top of the chords and rhythm you add melody and then lastly if you want it... harmony.

You never know it might inspire you and open up some doors into musical places you never thought you were capable of.

Love the feedback, Thank you for the suggestions!
The part at 1:23 was the one part I actually hated and I thought to myself "should I keep this or not?" And i stupidly kept it.

It's pretty good, the effects on the vocals are so thick in some spots there I can't understand what's being said. Over all it feels very melancholic and desperate. Quite the feel. I hope who ever this was written about reciprocates well.

Keep it up!

thats how we like it, sorta going for a drain gang-ish kinda feeling, but like i mentioned in another reply we're still learning and i hope next time we drop u dig it a little more :3

ty very much for the feedback

It isn't bad, the melodies are nice, but it's lacking variety. For a 6 minute song listening to the same melodies over and over can get boring. The extent of your variety is letting different instruments fall off and bring in a more quiet tone and then bring it all back until you're about 4:20 minutes in and then its a completely different song and feels like it has a bit of an identity crisis because nothing lead up to it.

Also, that instrument at the beginning that starts at 0:25 has too much reverb, sustain, and/or decay. The notes end up fighting with each other and you end up hearing a nasty 3rd dissonant tone that doesn't destroy the melody, but kind of muddies what would otherwise be beautiful.
